Shooting flames in the middle of the day is incredibly hard to do but we figured it out! ha We look forward to the finished product

It’s Been A While…

…since we posted anything, we know. But it’s because we’ve been busier than termites in a log cabin. Yet, we miss our blog and wanted to reconnect. There have been a lot of new developments since our last post, and you can read about most of them in our Winter 2012 Newsletter. In summary, we have been working hard on our new climbing film, The Network, which is on track to be released fall of this year. Nelson, and one of our new hires, Benjamin Garst, have been in Arkansas, Las Vegas, Croatia, and Turkey following the climbers that will be featured. Our feature documentary, Song Of The Untouchable, is finished! Irvin worked his arse off to finish it, and now we have him slaving away on The Network. No rest for the wicked.

Another addition to the CFF family is our new (and now fully operational) Red Epic! We understand here that tools are just that, but it’s always nice to have a sophisticated tool such as the Red Epic to be able to capture images for our videos and clients. We officially broke it in on the recent Europe trip and can say we are more than pleased with the functionality and product it gives us. The HDRx mode came especially in handy for us. We can’t wait to see this footage added to the film!

More recently, we are in development on some new ideas and new content that we are excited to get into production. I wish I could say more, but you’ll just have to keep checking in with us to see. We are excited to start building a stronger web presence and bring you more updates on what we have going on in and out of the studio. And we will try to better with our blog, because as you know, even blogs need love.

The Colorado Premiere of The Scene

The Colorado Premiere of The Scene is next Tuesday, September 6th at the Boulder Theater!

Come watch The Scene with the whole crew from Chuck Fryberger Films, plus athletes Kilian Fischhuber, Anna Stöhr, and Cody Roth! And as an added bonus, local legend Jamie Emerson of B3 Bouldering will be on-hand selling new copies of his Rocky Mountain National Park and Mt. Evans Bouldering Guidebook!

Tickets are $15 at the door, $13.50 pre sale at The Spot, Movement Climbing and Fitness, Rockn & Jamn, The Boulder Rock Club, and the Boulder prAna Store.
